Pelmets and Valances

Pelmets and Valances are like most elements of Curtains in that they have both a functional and aesthetic purpose.

Pelmets particularly serve the purpose of blocking the light from coming in over the top of the curtain header.

They also add aesthetically by covering the tracks and curtain header.

Valances on the other hand are predominantly aesthetic.
